What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells that fit over the front surface of your teeth. Think of them as a new facade for your smile.

Each veneer is crafted from medical-grade porcelain that mimics the look of natural tooth enamel. They reflect light the same way your real teeth do, so nobody will know they're there.

Veneers correct chips, cracks, gaps, discoloration, and minor alignment issues. If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and wished your teeth looked different, veneers can make that happen.

Are Veneers Right for You?

Veneers work beautifully if you have teeth that are chipped, cracked, worn down, or uneven in size. They're also ideal for gaps between teeth, deep staining that whitening can't fix, or teeth that are slightly crooked but don't need braces.

You need healthy gums and enough enamel on your teeth for the veneers to bond properly. If you grind your teeth at night, we'll discuss a night guard to protect your investment.

During your consultation, your dentist will examine your teeth, discuss what you want to change, and let you know if veneers are the right path for your goals.

Your Veneer Journey

  • Your veneer journey starts with a conversation. Your dentist examines your teeth, discusses what you want to change, and determines whether veneers are the right fit for your goals. This is where we talk about shape, size, shade, and how many teeth are involved.

  • We create a preview of your new smile so you can see and feel the result in advance. This helps you make confident decisions about shape, size, and shade. Before any permanent work begins, we place temporary veneers over your natural teeth so you can see what your final results will look like on your own smile. No enamel is removed at this stage. We take a series of photos and walk through the results together. If you want changes to shape, size, or alignment, we adjust. The goal is for you to fall in love with the look before we commit to anything permanent.

  • Once you've approved the design, your teeth are prepared by removing a thin layer of enamel (about the thickness of a contact lens). Detailed impressions are taken and sent to our specialized lab. You'll leave with temporary veneers while your permanent set is crafted.

  • Your permanent veneers are custom-built by a specialized lab over three to four weeks. The lab uses your approved smile test drive as the blueprint, so the final veneers are a direct copy of what you already signed off on. No surprises.

  • Your permanent veneers are bonded to your teeth. Fit, color, and shape are checked and adjusted until everything looks exactly right. You walk out with your new smile the same day.

Life with Veneers

  • Natural Feel

Veneers look and feel like natural teeth. Most patients forget they have them within a week.

  • Stain Resistant

They resist staining better than natural enamel, so your smile stays bright longer. Results last 10–15 years.

  • Easy Care

Brush twice a day, floss daily, and visit us for regular checkups. Avoid biting into extremely hard foods directly.

  • Yes. Modern porcelain veneers are custom-matched to your natural tooth color and translucency. Each set is designed to complement your face shape, skin tone, and lip line. The goal is a smile that looks like yours, only better.

  • With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years. Some patients keep theirs for 20+ years. Regular dental visits and good home care extend their lifespan.

  • No. The preparation process is done under local anesthesia, so you won't feel anything. Some patients experience mild sensitivity for a few days after, which goes away on its own.

  • Yes. You can eat everything you normally would. We recommend avoiding biting directly into very hard objects like ice cubes or using your teeth as tools.

  • The cost varies based on how many teeth are involved and the complexity of your case. We'll give you a detailed quote during your consultation so there are no surprises.

  • Veneers are porcelain shells that cover the entire front surface of your tooth. Bonding uses composite resin applied directly to the tooth. Veneers are more durable and stain-resistant. Bonding is less expensive but doesn't last as long.
